Mercury goes on his second of three Retrograde sojourns in 2021. Mercury journeys through the Air signs throughout this year. In fact Mercury will be in Air signs for 201 days – that is a lot! With all this Air element energy, the alchemical key is to slow down and ground even more to balance this fast-paced, frazzled energy.
On May 29th, Mercury retrogrades in His home sign of Gemini at 24 degrees. Venus appears as Mama holding the hand of her son Mercury as Cupid. Together they bring in Aquarius energy to help you redefine the future. The Gemini Sun will activate this energy on June 15-16, 2021. During this retrograde time, prune unnecessary minutae from your mind and withdraw inward to spur inner growth. Let your heart hibernate to regenerate your internal resources for a future growth spurt.

At the time of this retrograde path, the eclipsed waning Moon occults Pluto Retrograde exact at 26 degrees Capricorn. You are being asked to climb higher in your spiritual journey and get to the core root truth of why your Soul has incarnated at this time. Watch out for feelings of aloneness or separation. Align with your Soul’s desire to evolve instead.
Mars sits in direct opposition to the Moon-Pluto RX conjunction. At 22 degrees Cancer, Mars brings into the mix this energy of gathering together and exchanging information that is both nurturing and fulfilling. Mars reminds you that everyone is in search of meaning. Offer to the best of your best to the mix. Tune into what you can offer that is both heals and helps. Forego too much focus on the negative and watch out for propaganda and false narratives.
Neptune is the biggest aspected planet, after Venus and Mars, to Mercury’s retrograde. Neptune wants to help each one of us realize the joy of creating a world that works. Neptune will have a very loud voice in Mercury’s ears. If you are paying attention, Neptune’s voice will be inspiring. If you are distracted, moving too fast, or not grounded, Neptune’s voice will be foggy and unclear. Practice paying attention.
Mercury RX Path:
Mercury retrogrades from 24 degrees Gemini to 16 degrees Gemini on June 22, 2021. This arrival degree is where the Moon and North Node were when Mercury went direct on February 20, 2021. On Mercury Direct day on June 22nd, Venus will be opposite Pluto Retrograde, too! Fascinating! And, the Moon will return to its’ Full Moon Lunar Eclipse degree at 5 degrees Sagittarius!
Mercury’s Retrograde path is 8 degrees. When Mercury goes direct, he will activate the North Node of Destiny from January 30th. Look back to what was happening in your life during that time.
During a Mercury Retrograde, Mercury and the Sun will form exact conjunction known as an “Inferior Conjunction”. This happens on June 10, 2021, at 20 degrees Gemini. When the Inferior conjunction occurs, it is like a New Moon. There is a seed idea that gets formed. This seed idea is infused with life energy when Mercury direct and the Sun meet again at the “Superior Conjunction”. This event is similar to a Full Moon and happens on August 1, 2021, at 9 degrees Leo.
Mercury begins the journey desiring to cut or trim away what is old or has outlived its purpose. This is a journey of “deadheading”. As you dive into this cleansing of the lower mind, you will mature into a robust thinker.

My natal North node is 24 Gem 54 and sits in my 4th house…the fact that Mercury retrograde so close to my natal North Node and coincides with where the Moon and North Node were in February seems rather auspicious…curious about your take on this.
