Lunar New Year of the Rabbit + Super New Moon in Aquarius at 1 degree on January 21, 2023, at 12:53 PM PST/3:53 PM EST
The Aquarius Super New Moon arrives one day before Uranus goes direct. At the same time, the Aquarius New Moon activates the “point of no return” when Pluto enters the Aquarian Years on March 24, 2023. (Sidenote: Mars empowers this time by finally leaving Gemini and entering Cancer. This is big energy!)
When the Aquarius New Moon occurs it heralds the time of Pallas Athena. This is due to the Aquarius New Moon being known as the “Father’s Child Moon”. The goddess Athena was born out of the head of her father. The asteroid Pallas Athena is transiting through Cancer at 14 degrees. She reminds you that all true spiritual paths always include abundance and prosperity. This way of life is your divine inherited right. Make prosperity one of your goals during the gentle Yin time of the Year of the Rabbit.
The time of Winter seeds the Future
The Aquarius New Moon happens during Midwinter and stabilizes the 3rd Quarter phase of the 2022 Zodiac Year. This phase last three months of the Winter season taking you to Spring Equinox and the New Moon in Aries in March 2023. What no longer serves your life since April 2022? You can permanently delete these old, stuck energies during this lunar cycle.
Focus your attention on these Journal Questions:
- Your personal experiences translate to others’ wounding around you. Are others experiencing the same pains as you? How can you help them based on your own self-healing work?
- Reflect on how your leadership has developed this year. Have you taken the lead so that your skills could contribute in a positive manner? Have you allowed others to take the lead while you support them to be their best?
The Year of the Rabbit & The Charioteer
The Year of the Rabbit is a time for allowing your gentle nature to take over. When you focus on what you are grateful for in your life, this becomes the key that opens up the door to fertility, abundance, and opportunity. The nature of the Rabbit Year is to allow more gentle, kind, and peaceful energy into your body, mind, and Spirit. Allow heavenly energy to flow you as much as possible so that the sacred Rabbit can bring healing, opportunity, and rewards your way. Anything is possible in this gentle, flowing year.
2023 is a “7” year that is governed by the power of the Charioteer in the Tarot’s Major Arcana. The Charioteer is a powerful driving energy that takes whatever energy is available and moves it forward. The key to Charioteer energy is awareness because this Major Arcana uses both forces: Yin and Yang, to move energy and steer it towards your visions of success. Rabbit supports you to be gentle and kind with yourself and Charioteer guides you to stay in your deep awareness of your thoughts and feelings.

Uranus is the ruling planet of Aquarius and brings forth the power of the future of 2023 through your Crown chakra. Take time this lunation to clear your Crown Chakra with high-frequency tools like the Bija Mantra, tuning forks, sage/incense, and guided meditations to name a few. AQUARIUS = The Star & The Fool
The Star and The Fool are the Major Arcana in the Tarot that represent the energy of Aquaris and its ruler, Uranus. The Star Card is the energy of healing through adopting a higher consciousness of awareness.
