Build your 2017 with New Moon in Capricorn

Like most of us, I’m sure you are ready to end 2016 and start 2017. Right? The New Moon in Capricorn brings you the opportunity to build your foundation for a strong, powerful, financial successful and strategic year ahead.

New Moons are a time to be quiet, reflective and move inward towards stillness. The available emotional energy from Nature is at its lowest point. And when we move into alignment with the energy cycles, we are harmonized by these bigger frequencies.

The next lunar cycle in the responsible, ambitious and loyal sign of Capricorn. This lunar cycle has transformative Pluto and reflective Mercury Retrograde in it as we say goodbye to 2016 and hello 2017! The New Moon happens at 10:55 PM PST on December 28, 2016 at 7 degrees (almost 8), the 1st decan of Capricorn. So this Moon’s energy is full on Capricorn in its polar axis ruling planet, the Moon.

The New Moon in Capricorn has been called the “Forgotten Child” because of its distance from the maternal energy of the Moon. It is at its farthest in the circle of Life at 180 degrees. This distance translates as a cold, forgotten orphaned child. But when wounds like this happen early in life, they serve as strength to build a future that is empowered through self-awareness and reliance. These stepping stones become building blocks to contribute to the world in the most positive way possible.

Enter Mercury Retrograde:

The New Moon in Capricorn lunar cycle begins with Mercury in Retrograde twinning with the Moon at 6 degrees Capricorn. Mercury Retrograde is a time to slow down, cross the astral border into your right brain of feelings, art and reflection. Mercury rules communications, electronics and business dealings. Things go haywire when you move too fast and forget to review before signing.

Saturn rules Capricorn and the Lord of Karma likes to focus in on the details, measuring twice and cutting once. Take your time and reflect as Mercury is in slow-motion through January 8th (Mercury moves out of the Shadow by January 27th). Think before you speak (or tweet) as words form precious buidling blocks in setting your foundation for 2017. Resist pessimism, obstination and folding your mental arms across your chest. Whether it is a thought, spech, posts or actions, Mercury and the Moon are on your emotional watch.

Learn to raise your emotional IQ in 2017 because of this lunar mercurial match-up at the beginning of the year. 2017 is “1” year, meaning that it begins a new cycle of 8 years to 2025. What do you want to achieve, build, become? Read or re-read The Four Agreements during this winter season. The Four Agreements will be amazing buidling blocks of communication and perspective for the next 8 years.

2017 is all about Jupiter and Uranus Opposition

2017 will be dominated by the on-going Jupiter in Libra square Uranus in Aries. On this New Moon, Uranus goes into direct motion bringing with him “Revolution”! Jupiter, planet of benevolence and good luck is matched with the ultra-liberating anarchist Uranus.

They are currently flowing through the Aries-Libra axis frequency. This is about Self and Relationships. Who are you in relationship to others? Do you own yourself? Do you need a makeover? Uranus will send an electric shockwave through you in 2017 to own your “I AM” Presence. Jupiter will add good luck to harmonizing all relationships, agreements and contracts in Libra.

Mars and Venus will be making close connections, too, in 2017 adding to the flavor of Love this year. North Node will move into the fiery heart of Leo giving one more boost of joy to relationships. But all this is centered on knowing and owning who you are. Be authentic and truly have a passionate liberating love affair with your true nature. It’s not egoic but Aries asks you to find your passion, courage and Uranus will revolutionize your unique vibration in the world.

All in all, 2017 has the potential to be a “Dream Catcher” type of year. Consciously sow your wishes and allow the web of Life to catch your dreams and make them a reality. Stay strong. Stay focused. And stay centered in who you truly are.
